Pragmatism

To understand what excites you, you may need to observe and ponder your reaction to the activities, events, circumstances, and concepts that make up your life. What makes your pulse race, what makes you want to get out of your chair and take action? Try to avoid getting too wrapped up in life’s details; their tedium may cause you to plod through your existence unaware of prospective excitement. Once you have created a substantial list of what excites you, find ways to integrate each item into your routine. You will soon find yourself riding a wave of excitement that lifts you up and makes life truly worth living. What excites you in your life?

That is such a funny question and is one worth introspection. Questions like this are sometimes made and shaped by a myopic vision of what excites us. There are plenty of things that excite me and some times they are not always available as there are constraints and limits as to what we can realistically do.

If there is a place you want to live -one can not always just pick upand move there. Other people are dependent on our safe decisions.

But there are also other people whom are dependent on us being happy, for the most part.
So the question at this point in time might not what excites you, but rather what do you enjoy and can participate in while not taking anything away from those dependent on you. Its part of being a parent, a partner and even a pet owner. I think it is called pragmatism. I have used that word alot but have necer looked it up.
